How are you spending your summer? Tackling some much delayed projects? Getting caught up on your reading list? Taking an extended vacation with family or friends? When I ask that question of Trinity students, many tell of the amazing experiential learning opportunities they're having this summer.
One of the many remarkable things about Trinity University is its strong sense of place. Arguably one of the most beautiful campuses in the Southwest, Trinity's distinctive red brick buildings – connected via spacious walkways and landscaped escarpment – provide the perfect setting for a transformational, residential liberal arts university.
We celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2017 this weekend by welcoming them into the vibrant and connected community of Trinity alumni. These new graduates join generations of confident alumni who use their Trinity education to explore the world, test ideas, and broaden horizons.
This Thanksgiving season I reflect on the values that bind us as a community. I am thankful to belong to a community that can have civil and constructive conversations about very difficult topics and issues.
